RIVER ALTAR

River Altar is a functional sculpture conceived for an intimate, private interior. Lighting one of its five candles becomes a quiet, intentional ritual, inviting a moment of stillness and reflection.

Rather than serving as a place of worship, the work reimagines the altar as a space for contemplation. The sculpture is made from an old wooden plank recovered from the Vistula River. Its unknown origin and traces of time lend it the presence of a found relic, carrying a subtle sense of reverence and memory.
